TSA, or Technology Student Association, is a club where students gather in teams based on their interests and work collectively to fulfill the final challenge of their events, fostering lasting bonds along the way. These events have challenges of many different themes - including engineering, computer science, arts, music, speaking/debate, and general science. Some of the events have members working together to create a final product for submission, while others are on-site and have students practicing throughout the year to demonstrate their skill and effort directly at the competition whether it be through debate, video producing, or a multitude of other events.
This year's State Leadership Conference will be virtual and start on March 20th, 2021.
Our school chapter was founded in 2013. Since then, we have been participating in a multitude of events and have impressively ranked in many of them. We have had moments of consecutively winning top three as a whole chapter. This 2020-2021 year, our chapter boasts a member number of roughly 300.
Our TSA mascot is the Technodragon!
I believe in using technology to make the world a better place.
I believe in collaborating with others to create beneficial solutions for the future.
I believe that I should be dedicated to creating new technologies and educating others about technology.
I will strive to better the world around us and to spread the influence of technology.
With the ongoing pandemic, our club adjusted to the way we held meetings and collaborated on projects. With virtual platforms such as discord, zoom, google meets, and more, we are able to communicate with each other while still being miles apart. Events that require hands-on building hold in-person meetings that follow CDC guidelines and proper social distancing. Overall, our club overcame the challenges we faced by promoting unity, perseverance, and flexibility.
Our chapter focuses on three main social media platforms that serve as a way for all our TSA members to interact and socialize with each other during a time in which we all are so distanced and physically isolated from each other.
We as a chapter understood that attending online meetings could be difficult due to technical problems. As a result, we created a youtube channel and uploaded general meetings for our members so they could have access to club information and presentations. Our instagram serves as a place to showcase our work and achievements. We also use it to promote our club and announce important events regarding our club.

In order to communicate more efficiently with our club, we created a discord server in which general announcements about events can be released to either the entire club or to specific divisions only. Furthermore, discord features such as voice channels and separate text channels are useful for creating organized communication locations for each event.
