Courses
PhysEng
All freshmen students at GSMST are required to complete the following courses: Gifted Physics, Engineering Concepts, and Foundation of Engineering/Technology. Students are given first-hand experience with the engineering design process and hands-on construction alongside state-of-the-art workshops for each classroom with the use of CAD software.
Engineering Applications
Engineering Applications is a continuation of the engineering pathway(started in freshman year)to sophomore year. Students learn engineering principles such as Truss Analysis,Students design, construct and test their own CO2 car, Truss Bridge and Model Rocket. Also, students apply engineering management concepts to help aid their building process.
Science & Engineering Fair
All sophomore students at GSMST are required to complete a full project for the Intel Science and Engineering Fair as part of the advanced STEM curriculum. In the traditional Science Fair, students examine a particular topic, perform experiments and draw conclusions based on their data.

Mr. Nguyen
Mr. Nguyen is our TSA advisor, Engineering Applications teacher, and AP Computer Science Principles teacher at GSMST.
Jason Boyette
Mr. Boyette is the teacher sponsor for Digital Media Club, and he also teaches Intro to Digital Media and more!
Laura Gray
Mrs. Gray is also our AP Computer Science Applications and Precalculus teacher and Computer Science Club Advisor. She is also a strong advocate for women in STEM fields.
Extracurriculars
TSA
TSA, or Technology Student Association, is a club where students gather in teams based on their interests and work collectively to fulfill the final challenge of their events, fostering lasting bonds along the way.
Robotics Club
GSMST has multiple teams for two competitions: FTC (First Tech Challenge) and VEX Robotics teams. Students can gain first-hand experience in programming, mechanical design, and construction.
Digital Media Club
Students improve their video production skills through software like Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Additionally, students produce International Night videos and assists in morning announcements daily.
